In ancient Greece at a place called Eleusis, mysterious sacred rites

were celebrated dedicated to the worship of the goddess Demeter. These have since become known as the Eleusinian Mysteries.

"The Road to Eleusis", inspired by these mysteries is the debut album by SENS-O-TAPE, a duo formed by Enrico Coniglio (Italy) and David Ian Bickley (Ireland). The result is a beautiful mix of classic ambient, pop and chilled sounds. The sound is mostly electronic but definitive warmth, enriched with smooth vocal lines and acoustic instruments such as sax, trumpet and piano.

May the mysteries continue as our sounds drift across the islands and waterways of Venice.

Also appearing on the LP are Piero Bittolo Bon, alto sax, baritone sax and bass clarinet (2-4-8), Martina Evers, vocals and lyrics (3-6-7-9), Guglielmo R. Gagliano, additional guitars (3), Arve Henriksen, trumpet (6) and Guido Marzorati, acoustic piano (1-3-5-6-10). "The Road to Eleusis" was recorded and mixed in Venice at Tripi H. Studio by Enrico Coniglio and David Ian Bickley. Mastering by Stefano Guzzetti.
